going to start warming up today. won't be bad. some fog hanging out around san jose. i'll show you that in a second. that big low, though, that we had on saturday. the severe weather went big time yesterday where we thought oklahoma city, oklahoma, kansas. now look at it. it's still being a major weather maker there from even minneapolis, probably into the great lakes. if you have travel plans there, you might encounter some delays due to the severe weather nature, we do get a little bit of a northwesterly breeze west of pittsburgh, west up in the oakland berkeley hills. mount diablo has turned northerly, though atlas peak is near mount veeder's turn northeast, but big rock, middle peak, san francisco, richmond, even davis point are all northwest. but eventually, by tomorrow, it looks like it's going to go a little bit more north northeast, and we'll start to warm up. still some fog down around watsonville, castroville, san jose, and a little bit on the peninsula, but i think most of it's about done, but it's hanging in there a little bit. so corte madera, vallejo, burlingame and santa clara, up we go on the forecast highs 70, 72, 68 and 73. so i try and use other locations. nothing that

ever wrong with santa rosa, concord, san francisco and san jose, but it's just nice to show other locations. 40 on the temps here to 50, 51 brentwood 50, vacaville 52, san carlos 50 and half moon bay. so we're on our way. you are running a little warmer than yesterday by 1 to 7 degrees. you go novato plus seven compared to yesterday. at this time, most are around 2 to 4. but petaluma, santa rosa plus five. san jose is plus six. livermore plus five. so add those to the highs from yesterday. and that's where we'll end up around 7374 today. what we're going to see is high pressure build in. and then that low which is in the intermountain region a piece of energy from that is going to backtrack towards southern nevada, northern arizona, southern california, where it ends up will determine how warm we get. it will start tomorrow, and thursday and friday will be the warmest days. i did see one projection couple near 90. others were around 8586. but we'll get warm. and then i think by sunday we'll start to see this all break down and next hint of rain is around the 20th

360 tents and structures, down from the 609. it counted in july of last year. they say it's a drop of 41, but that count was of tents and structures and encampments, not people. an official count of unhoused people is done in cities across the state every two years, and the most recent data was from 2022 and found 7700 unhoused people in san francisco. the new date is supposed to be released sometime this month. early this morning, near the san francisco public library and civic auditorium. we spoke with several people who spent the night on the street, including a 33 year old man from pleasanton who told us he's been homeless in san francisco for the last three years. just before 5:00 this morning, police and department of public works crews came to tell him and others spending the night in the sidewalk that they had to leave. the man packed up his tent for the day. other people did the same with their blankets and sleeping bags. >> i've been to a couple of shelters, and i didn't like how they were. it's like a joke. >> so why? what's wrong with

them, they give for a bed. it was just a chair. and they flash flashlight in your eyes every hour during the check. >> now, the mayor's office says they believe that the 41% drop in the number of tents on city streets is because of their outreach efforts and the addition of extra shelter beds. in january, the city was also given more authority to clear away encampments when the ninth circuit court of appeals said san francisco could compel people not to sleep or camp in public spots if they offered the people they encountered a shelter bed. that ruling said. if someone is offered a shelter spot and they decline it, the city can clear away their tents and any sleeping bags or other belongings. and that's what we've seen, throughout the morning. so we've what we've observed here outside city hall. not many tents, just the one that we showed you from the man from pleasanton. we interviewed. but a lot of people still sleeping and living on the streets. so that is kind of the
