9:15 am
those 60's which is kind of cool this weekend and the 80's, which is going get real warm towards the middle of the week today. 70's out there and look at this sunshine at half. moon bay, gorgeous. hardly a breeze out there this morning to it's just really nice to see. radar is showing you those clear skies from the coast inland. we did have some fog butting up against the coast last night. and we do see the potential of a little bit of that today, but rather than an onshore breeze, the next few days actually brings the chance of a little bit of an offshore wind kicking into gear. in fact, we do have some north winds through the central valley into the delta that are resulting in a high wind advisory that goes into effect tonight at 11:00pm through 08:00am on thursday. gusts as high as 35 to 45 miles per hour. this will be most notable for the interior coastal range, the delta in the central valley, but a little bit breezy in those spots and deep. today's daytime highs are kind of a transition between the cool and the real warm around the corner. so today is like that
9:16 am
super comfortable middle zone with 60's to 70's carlos mountain view, looking great in the low 70's. 72 pretty consistently for the south bay today and that consistency continues in the east bay. 71 for the tri valley and 70 from fremont through oakland, castro valley standing out at 72. so no, you'll be at 74 today. same in napa will santa rosa at 75 looking ahead tomorrow as temperatures reach the low 80's inland and by friday and saturday, a few of us could be inching real close to 90 degrees. bayshore cities also in for quite the warm-up. no saturday showers this time around. in fact, saturday could very well be the warmest day of the forecast. michael. >> thanks, john. and good morning, everyone. the time is 9.16 taking a look at the roads right now. we're still seeing some residual delays. this traffic collision just got cleared a chp. it's on northbound 8.80, near to 38 in san leandro. there were multiple lanes that were closed. but you can see that backup still an 2.38. so keep that in mind as you're heading
9:17 am
out this morning, heading a little bit more inland there. still, some lanes are blocked right now on northbound 6.80, in alamo near stone valley road that has not been cleared out. and chp is on the scene. so hopefully within the next 30 minutes or so that should be cleared. but it is causing residual delays. taking a look at the south bay. there is an accident on westbound to 37 near lawrence parkway in sunnyvale. the left lanes are currently blocked off and you can see delays there that it's causing. but taking a look at other highways and freeways, southbound 6.80, dublin to fremont. it's a 25 minute commute. taking a look at 101 this morning. san jose to menlo park. 62 minutes and there and then taking a look at the bay bridge right now. we're looking at a 16 minute commute into the city. those metering lights are on. so keep that in mind and all leave these drive times with those before send it back to the desk livermore to dublin 15 minutes, dublin to fremont. 25 minutes san leandro to milpitas. 39 minutes. peters to sunnyvale. 34 minutes and

and the next 15 minutes. we'll give you an update on some of those accidents. but for now, i'll send it over to the desk. time to winners and losers with our financial expert rob black. >> but, rabbi, i'm not even sure why we're doing this because you say tv is dying. we talking to. >> yeah. cable tv's dine streaming ys up and today. we saw that from disney's numbers that their traditional abc. espn and other channels that evil oriented are seen mass defections. but people are coming into streaming so dream is alive for streamers. the nightmares there for cable companies, ok? well, then if anybody is watching us on cable, what are the markets doing? >> good question. mark mimicking the fed. so as the 10 year treasury, that's right. 4.4%, 5 to 4.6%. the markets get stressed. but as things come lower, the markets are rallying to host a new highs. he's expected to cut rates later this year. maybe
9:19 am
september. and that's mean we going to rally into the end of the year. i know we're already 5 months to the year 2 year. treasury sits at 80%. of companies are beating earnings we're in a good position, but i want my to pull back as well because we've got been sitting at all-time highs are near all-time highs for most of the year and looking at your other like headlines. i'm going. why is tv doing bad when you said? >> people are sent home playing games like a like gangbusters and they're having their food delivered. so, you know, they're a captive audience. they just don't want to watch. i guess cable. >> yeah, i think you might be referring to the instacart story, place where you can get groceries, someone else will go get them for you and bring them to your home and leaving door steps popular during covid. now instacart will bring you through a partnership. you were 8 so food from grossmont from grocery stores but from restaurants houston partnership. i thought it would have been the other way are goes into the stores and gets food for you. but it's
9:20 am
the other way around. it's instacart's going to be delivering restaurant for tonight's series home. and then your plan intend us, which i guess. >> yeah, how you got on that one. so is what's new is coming out later this year. it's been 7 years again. a big winner during covid is a lot of people playing video games. the hardware platforms are starting little old. so look for a maybe sony and microsoft announced pro versions this year. and that may be a new version next year. maybe we just have to be funnier. >> because news is cheap. just like comedy is cheap. but everybody's 11 comedy. it becomes this is a huge programming when for like netflix and everybody and the comedians. >> yeah, this is you're referring to my standup. a revenue has tripled in the last decade. wow. used to have to be robin williams. you more or jerry seinfeld with al, you know, who are these have was chosen have the show's who needed now netflix is making everyone rich in comedy ukip's doing as well. some then you get socials and podcast. but netflix, the king in 2012

9:23 am
alive 20 years ago. so it's not that crazy. the prices are expected jumped 5%. 75% of renters feel. mortgages are difficult to attain. that was 50% just last year. people expect morris prices to go. higher prices go higher. so there's no inventory out there. 13% of people might move next year. that's historically pretty well. yeah, people i'm not willing to give up my mortgage rate now at 3%. i'm reluctant 6 out of 10 of us have mortgages under 4%. let's see if you're right. you're free to go wherever you want. so a plus something to be said for and you pay for the fridge breaks. you know, you're a landlord base. >> thanks a lot, rob. if you're watching and you're watching on cable and you have a question for over a comment, you can e-mail him, reach him on facebook or acts.
